Productivity Follow-up

I originally wrote about productivity back in February and promised to report back. I have a program on my laptop, RescueTime, which tracks my productivity based on my computer-based activities. Since my job revolves entirely around my computer, it provides a good indication of my overall productivity.

In April, I was doing intensive client work and I was incredibly focused. My productivity score was around 60 and went into the 80’s and 90’s on some days.

April Productivity

Compare this to my July productivity, a month where I was in a bit of a lull and also dealt with lots of vacation time and moving. My average productivity was around 37.

July Productivity

I think this is a good example of how one person can have dramatically different outputs with small changes to their habits and environment.
