One day I’m going to write a novel about a travel adventure. I will write in the first person and I will base all the characters on real-life individuals, although many ancillary characters will be created from scratch. This novel will be entirely fictional (by definition) but will be grounded in plausible reality.

Once my novel is published (which it will be) and relatively well known (possible, but less likely) I will gather up the same individuals portrayed and we will set out to recreate the novel chapter by chapter. While the trip will no doubt be amazing, it will also double as a publicity stunt.
